M.R.O held A Decade Celebration in Kuala Lumpur

A crowd of more than 900 people including local representatives of Mon village societies, leaders of Burmese ethnic  minorities' group in Malaysia attended the ceremony of 10 year Of Mon Refugee Organization holding at Chinese Assembly Hall in Kuala Lumpur in 2013, December 25. In this event, Nai Ponji and Mi Seik Nyan presented as the stage announcers and the celebration started at 10:30 in the morning by singing a group song of hounoring Mon Refugee Organization. First of all, Rev. Kaw Vi Da gave a speech regarding to a decade celebration. Then, the Chairman of M.R.O, Nai Sai Wonna gave a welcoming speech and office administrator, Nai Kayaung Mon was telling the story of Mon Refugee Organization during the slideshow presentation. After that, the secretary of MRO, Nai Nyana declared about financial regarding to celebration and Nai Akah Poin's conclusion speech was given. There are model show presentation and lucky draw prize given included between the programs. Onward 2:00 afternoon, a big show came up with famous singers from Myanmar and Malaysia. This remarkable ceremony ended at 6:00 O'clock in the evening with fully happiness.

The winners who haven't attended the ceremony can withdraw their prize at MRO office in Pudu. Please make sure that you bring winning ticket along with you to be able collect the prize.

Examination Of 2013, Mon Refugee Children Education Centre

This year also have leaving and new coming students as years before. At the end of this year 2013, we held yearly examination on 2,3,4th of this December. The exam was sat for English on 2nd, Science on 3rd, and Mathematics on 4th of December. There were 29 male and 16 female, 45 students sat the exam of this year though all the students are around fifty because some of them are unable to sit the exam due to their school-days. For the Mon subject, it will be sat the exam before Mon Nation Day as usual. In this year, three students passed UPSR exam among the four students who had sat in.
